How suggestions are generated
Every set of destination ideas on Holiday Booking Websites is generated by an artificial intelligence (AI) model. When you enter a search, we send your description to the AI, which returns six destination suggestions along with brief explanations, tags, and rough price estimates. These are then displayed on your results page and saved so other visitors can see them.
What AI suggestions are good for
- Discovering destinations you might not have thought of.
- Narrowing down a broad idea ("winter sun somewhere cheap") into specific places to research.
- Getting a general sense of typical price ranges and what a destination offers.
What they are NOT
- Not real-time information. The AI doesn't check live pricing, availability, or weather. Everything shown is an approximation based on general knowledge, not a current quote.
- Not verified. AI can occasionally get details wrong or produce information that sounds confident but isn't accurate. Specific hotel names, exact prices, opening hours, and current safety conditions should always be checked on the booking platform or an authoritative source.
- Not personalised travel advice. We don't know your medical needs, visa status, mobility requirements, or the specific conditions of your trip. Always check official guidance (e.g. gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice) before booking travel abroad.
- Not booking confirmations. Clicking a suggested destination takes you to a search page on Booking.com, Airbnb, Vrbo, or Expedia. Anything you book happens on their site, on their terms.
Always verify before you book
Before booking any holiday based on a suggestion here, please verify:
- Current pricing and availability on the booking platform.
- The destination's safety and entry requirements (visas, vaccinations, travel advisories).
- Weather and season considerations for your travel dates.
- Any specific requirements you have (accessibility, family suitability, pet policies, etc.).
Errors, complaints, and corrections
